Obedience

      People choose to participate in horrific acts because, A; they feel its the right thing to do. B; They are forced to do it. C; They've been brainwashed. Or D; Power. According to B, people are sometimes forced to, as if they would be killed if they didn't help. According to A people think its the right thing to do but don't consider the outcome. According to C, people have been brainwashed to think they are doing the right thing. And according to D, people are power obsessed. People would rather protect their and their families life than worry about other people that are dying. It's awful to imagine a world like this but its actually reality.

Trauma

      To overcome trauma, you must think about something else. Why you may ask? Because the only reason to overcome it is to get your mind off of whatever traumatized you. If you place yourself in a happy place and forget what ever is hurting you, you wont feel it hurting you. Imagine yourself doing whatever you love and that will allow you to overcome trauma.

Regime Benefits

       The people who benefited from the regime should not be held responsible. Just because someone else's business dies, doesn't mean you have to too. If there is a shoemaker who gets taken away and tortured your shoe making business will rise in customers. This is benefiting you but not because of anything you have done. This makes you not responsible for the military's actions. There is nothing to justify so I think that to fix the problem you must use forgiveness.

United Fruit Company

      The United Fruit Company is a company that takes over countries if they know there is good fruit there. I described it like that because they enslaved people to pick bananas for the wealth of the United States.

Nostalgia of Light

         In the Nostalgia of Light the act of preserving history that was the most effective was that the women were searching for their lost loved ones. Even though people think they are crazy, they continue their journey to find their lovers.

Arpilleras

          The Arpilleras are works of revolution not rebellion. The spread the word and are evidence of what happened in this time period.

Identity

          Identity is described by dictionary.com is "the condition of being oneself or itself, and not another. Its also how you think of yourself and others think of you and your characteristics. Identity is to some people constant to others it's changing. Identity can change if you try hard enough. Papa's identity has changed dramatically. For example before Papa was kidnapped he was completely different v.s when he returned.
